I Fear the Way You Love Me

I fear the way you love me:
The tender-touching kiss
That seduces me to nightly
Sink so deep in your abyss.

Those smooth caresses take me
To places that I dread,
While your cunning fingers strengthen me
To plan such lies ahead.

So as we writhe and tumble
In lust’s hypnotic hold
I’ll rehearse that final stumble
That will see the truth unfold.

one flaw

Women have strengths that amaze men.

  • They bear hardships and they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy.
  • They smile when they want to scream, They sing when they want to cry.
  • They cry when they are happy, and laugh when they are nervous.
  • They fight for what they believe in.
  • They stand up to injustice.
  • They don’t take “no” for an answer when they believe there is a better solution.
  • They go without so their family can have.
  • They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
  • They love unconditionally.
  • They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards.
  • They are happy when they hear about a birth or a wedding.
  • Their hearts break when a friend dies.
  • They grieve at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left.
  • They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.
  • Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.
  • They’ll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you.
  • The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning.
  • They bring joy, hope and love.
  • They have compassion and ideas.
  • They give moral support to their family and friends.
  • Women have vital things to say and everything to give.

However, if there is one flaw in women, it is that they forget their worth.

chasing cars

We’ll do it all
Everything
On our own

We don’t need
Anything
Or anyone

If I lay here
If I just lay here
would you lie with me and just forget the world?

I don’t quite know
How to say
How I feel

Those three words
Are said too much
They’re not enough

If I lay here
If I just lay here
would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Forget what we’re told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that’s bursting into life

Let’s waste time
Chasing cars
Around our heads

I need your grace
To remind me
To find my own

If I lay here
If I just lay here
would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Forget what we’re told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that’s bursting into life

All that I am
All that I ever was
Is here in your perfect eyes, they’re all I can see

I don’t know where
Confused about how as well
Just know that these things will never change for us at all

If I lay here
If I just lay here
would you lie with me and just forget the world?

sleep little one

..

Sleep little one
There is no monster under your bed
I will keep you safe
So rest your weary head
Sleep little one
Close your tired eyes
The sandman is now here
Open them again at sunrise
Sleep little one
Your toys protect just for you
Watching out and always standing guard
Your proud teddy bear and your soldiers too
Sleep little one
Feel the love for you we share
Good night and have sweet dreams
For you, little one, we will always care

Traditional Traits

Practical and prudent
Ambitious and disciplined
Patient and careful
Humorous and reserved

On the dark side….

Pessimistic and fatalistic
Miserly and grudging

The sign Capricorn is one of the most stable and (mostly) serious of the zodiacal types. These independent, rocklike characters have many sterling qualities. They are normally confident, strong willed and calm. These hardworking, unemotional, shrewd, practical, responsible, persevering, and cautious to the extreme persons, are capable of persisting for as long as is necessary to accomplish a goal they have set for themselves. Capricorn are reliable workers in almost any profession they undertake. They are the major finishers of most projects started by the ‘pioneering’ signs; with firm stick-to-it-ness they quickly become the backbone of any company they work for.

Capricorn make of themselves, resourceful, determined managers; setting high standards for themselves and others. They strive always for honesty in their criticism of self, they respect discipline from above and demand it from those beneath them. In their methodical, tough, stubborn, unyielding way, they persist against personal hardship, putting their families and/or their work before their own needs and welfare to reach their objectives long after others have given up and fallen by the wayside. In fact when practical ability allied with the drive of ambition are required in employees to make a project succeed, Capricorn are the people to hire. They plan carefully to fulfill their ambitions (which often include becoming wealthy), they are economical without meanness, and able to achieve great results with minimum effort and expense. Because of their organizing ability they are able to work on several projects simultaneously.

They have a great respect for authority but may not, if they reach high rank, be willing to listen to other opinions on things they are directly responsible for. As the ranking authority figure in a given situation they expect their underlings to be as self disciplined as they themselves are, and to perform every task undertaken to the highest standard.

They are, nevertheless, fair as well as demanding. Among their equals they are not always the most pleasant of work fellows for they are reserved and too conservative, valuing tradition more than innovation, however valuable the latter, and they are often humorless. There is also a tendency to pessimism, melancholy and even unhappiness which many Capricorn are unable to keep to themselves, especially if they fail personally. In the extreme this trait can make them a very depressed individual; ecstatic happiness alternating with the most wretched kind of misery which is so subconsciously buried that he or she should seek help if such emotions become frequent. For the above reason, capable Capricorn should spend many hours in meditation, gathering the strength to control such inner emotions.

The swings in mood are not the only reason some Capricorns deserve the adjective based on their name – capricious. They can be surprisingly and suddenly witty and subtle for the quiet, reserved individuals they seem to be, and they also have a tendency to ruin things by unexpected and utterly irresponsible bouts of flippancy. In certain individuals in whom the characteristic is strong, the temptation to do this has to be resisted with iron self-control. Another unexpected quality in some Capricorn is an interest in the occult which persists in spite of their naturally skeptical turn of mind.

Their intellects are sometimes very subtle. They think profoundly and deeply, throughly exploring all possibilities before deciding on a ‘safe’ alternative. They have good memories and an insatiable yet methodical desire for knowledge. They are rational, logical and clearheaded, have good concentration, delight in debate in which they can show off their cleverness by luring their adversaries into traps and confounding them with logic.

In their personal relationships they are often ill-at-ease, if not downright unhappy. They are somewhat self-centered but not excessively so, wary and cautious around people they do not know very well, preferring not to meddle with others and in turn not to allow interference with themselves, thus they tend to attract people who do not understand them. Casual acquaintances they will treat with diplomacy, tact and, above all, reticence. They make few good friends but are intensely loyal to those they do make, and they can become bitter, and powerful enemies. They sometimes dislike the opposite sex and test the waters of affection gingerly before judging the temperature right for marriage. Once married, however, they are faithful, though inclined to jealousy. Most Capricorns marry for life.

Their occupations can include most professions that have to do with math or money and they are strongly attracted to music. They can be economists, financiers, bankers, speculators, contractors, managers and real estate brokers. They excel as bureaucrats, especially where projects demanding long-term planning and working are concerned, and their skill in debate and love of dialectic make them good politicians. They are excellent teachers, especially as principals of educational establishments where they have the authority to manage and organize without too much intimacy with the staff members. If working with their hands, they can become practical scientists, engineers, farmers and builders. The wit and flippancy which is characteristic of certain Capricornians may make some turn to entertainment as a career.
Possible Capricorn Health Concerns…

Capricorn governs the knees, bones and skin, so its subjects may be liable to fractures and strains of the knees and other defects of the legs. Skin diseases from rashes and boils to leprosy (in countries where that disease is prevalent) are dangers, and digestive upsets may be caused by the tendency of Capricorns to worry or suppress emotions. Anemia, Bright’s disease, catarrh, deafness, rheumatism and rickets are also said to threaten the natives of this sign.

Ruling Planet: Saturn Planet of Karma

Saturn doesn’t make things easy. That’s the role of the taskmaster of the Zodiac. Saturn commands us to get to work and to work hard. Discipline and responsibility are important to this Planet, yet if we’re eager to conquer the world, that’s okay, too.

Much like Father Time, Saturn implores us to look at the clock (its glyph, after all, is the sickle of Chronos, the God of Time). Is there time for everything we want to do, or are there limits? Those limitations are important to Saturn, and we must learn to manage them. Restrictions are the province of this Planet, as is any form of discipline or delay.

In keeping with the passage of time, Saturn governs old age along with the lessons it teaches us. Learning life’s lessons is key to this Planet, in keeping with its role as teacher. The majesty of older age also brings with it a certain sense of tradition, conventionality (our learned patterns of behavior) and wisdom, and Saturn is mindful of these characteristics. This Planet applauds our perseverance and the fact that we’ve withstood the test of time (yes, time comes up once again). This senior status further brings with it a measure of authority, and Saturn lords over that as well.

Structure, order and the way in which we conduct our affairs are all ruled by this ringed Planet. Contraction and the reining in of assets are also important here. Lastly, Saturn, again in its role as teacher, concerns itself with karma and the lessons which past experiences might bring.

It takes Saturn 28-30 years to complete its orbit of the zodiac. It is masculine energy and rules Capricorn and Aquarius and the Tenth and Eleventh Houses.

The animal associated with your sign is this beautiful Goat, it is a surefooted animal that weighs in at an average of 150-300 pounds and reaching heights of 35-45 inches. Due to its hooves, with cushioned skid-proof pads for grip, the goat is very agile. This animal has a narrow head with slender, black horns that rise in a backward curve to a length of 10-12 inches. The coat is white and on the chin is a double beard of long hair.

The color of choice for Capricorn is BROWN and most dark colors.

BLACK ONYX The beautiful Onyx is your starstone. Onyx is a type of agate (cryptocrystaline Quartz) that is recognized by the alternating, parallel bands of black and white. It is used for the carving of cameos, (a figure carved in the white layer which stands in relief against the black layer). If the white layer alternates with a different color then the agate is given different names: if red it’s carnelian-onyx, if brown it is sardonyx, and if the second layer is of the pale shades that characterizes common chalcedony it is called chalcedony-onyx. A solid piece of pure black Onyx is dyed. Agates are not always dyed black unless it is called Onyx, (Agate is frequently dyed red, green, blue, etc.)

What are the general characterstics of the Earth signs?:

It’s common to hear someone described as “earthy.” Such a person blends in with their natural habitat. They’re sensual, meaning they engage with life through the five senses. It takes time to sense the dense physical world, and earth signs can operate at a slower, more thorough pace than the other elements.

They’re oriented toward what’s real, and often this makes them very productive, able to create tangible results. But if there are no balancing elements, earth’s extremes could lead to being a work-a-holic, hoarding of possessions, pettiness, getting stuck in the mundane, stubbornness, etc.

How are the three Earth signs different?:
In their triplicity, or grouping by element, they differ in that each belongs to another group known in astrology as “qualities.” The qualities are Cardinal, Fixed and Mutable. Capricorn is a Cardinal sign, known for its initiatory nature, Taurus is a Fixed sign, and it sinks into the Earth perhaps the deepest, and Virgo is a Mutable sign, characterized by changeability.

Earth and Water :
Earth signs can help the emotional Water signs find tangible outlets for imaginative gifts. Like the banks to a flowing river, the Earth sign can guide the Water sign toward a goal. Water can help Earth by softening its rigid structure. If you think of how a potter uses water to soften, and then re-shape clay on the wheel, you get the picture. Water nourishes the ground of Earth with a feeling of being cared for, and this can add a dimension of meaning to their lives.

Earth and Fire :
Earth signs gain from the inspirational quality of Fire, and this adds a sense of adventure and a touch of the hero’s journey to their life story. They’ll be energized by Fire, as long as it doesn’t scorch them by being too much, too soon. A little Fire goes a long way with Earth. On the other hand, Fire can be guided by Earth’s mastery of structure. All those brilliant ideas can begin to take shape with Earth as your worldly advisor.

Earth and Air :
When Earth meets Air, it’s like opening the window to let the fresh air in. It can be exhilarating to Earth to be lifted up, if only temporarily, to see from the lofty heights of fantasy and rapid ideation. But if Air doesn’t offer Earth anything tangible, only pies in the sky, there could be a loss of respect. As with the other signs, Earth brings Air down to ground level, and offers practical ways to take concept to reality. Air can find Earth stuffy and slow, but will begrudgingly respect the way they get things done.

Earth and Earth:
Here is a power duo, able to build empires, plan things down to the last detail and always with one eye on preparing for the future. Theirs is a world full of things to see, touch, hear, taste and feel together. But two Earth signs can fall into the trap of working for tomorrow and not living for today. They’ll avoid this by seeking out sensual pleasures, and making time for relaxing in their “garden.”

The Earth Element in Astrology:

Those with Earth signs often seem to inhabit their physical bodies which can be described in new-age terms as “grounded.” Whatever their ground is — whether it is a high-rise office building or rural cottage — they’re sending out feelers through the senses. The physical is the densest plane, and they’re masters at assessing and organizing tangible things.

One expression of Earth sign qualities, and I’m envisioning a hippie chick here, might be someone who is easy-going and languid, aware of the local flora and fauna, often have leaves in their hair or dirt on their hands. They’re intimately attuned to the dance of nature, and love to spend time outdoors.

But Earth signs can just as easily work their magic in urban places, since they’re often centers of a certain kind of high-level productivity. The focus on the tasks at hand make them vulnerable to the “all work and no play” cul de sac of life. They’re more apt to base their reality on what is around them in form, instead of creating personal myths or assigning symbolic meanings to everything. That’s why too much of a good thing — Earth — can be stifling to things like inspiration, going on faith, a sense of purpose.

Earth signs are here to shape, manifest, cultivate and revel in Earthly delights. Their gift to others is bringing form to ideas, making them a balancing partner for an idle dreamer with potential. They tend their own garden, and inspire others to make the most of theirs.
